How long have you been in dentistry and why dentistry?

• I Completed the dental hygiene program at Camosun College in 2009! Practiced hygiene in Metro Vancouver area for 6 years before permanently relocating to the GVA.  After having my own positive dental experiences, including orthodontics and orthognathic surgery, it was important for me to get involved in the dental field. I truly believe it’s key to have a healthy mouth. Also, as a hygienist, seeing patients as often as every 3-6 months, you develop wonderful relationships with your patients.
  

Something about family. Do you have kids? A partner?

• Partner: Matthew - married since 2014!

• 2 children 

• When not in the office, I am busy with the children’s extracurricular activities and chasing them at the beach or on hiking trails. 

  
  

What is your favourite dental joke?

• What does the dental hygienist of the year get? A little plaque!

  
  

What’s something unique about our team and the camaraderie at Bowker Creek Dental Clinic?

• Their love for food! They’re supportive, witty, and knowledgeable. Their interpersonal relationships with the patients. I am grateful and can remember how helpful Rhonda and Patricia were on my first day of work. :)
